Piedmont Classical High School’s Athletic Program is an essential and indispensable compliment to an educational process that provides meaningful experiences, activities, and growth opportunities. This process should promote learning and development and strive to help student-athletes excel in the evolution and maturation of life-skills, healthy lifestyles, sportsmanship, and citizenship.
We foresee Piedmont Classical as a Charter School that offers an Athletic Program to its students that serves as a model for the Charter Schools in North Carolina. Participation in athletic activities should be considered a compliment to the academic mission of the school and should enhance all experiences of school life. We envision a program that offers quality teams with excellent coaches who value skill development, fundamentals, and the ability to teach the sports they coach. Our coaches and our Athletic Director are accountable for complying with the rules established for participation by our school, Board of Directors, and the Association we belong to.
